The heat in the kitchen!

Ok, we are only hours away from the first Presidential Debate. OMG! Pass the Popcorn. In the past this one debate usually defines who is most Presidential and who will most likely become President of the United States of America.

I cannot believe that either of these two politicians are the best that America has to offer. It is a shock but nothing to the coming nightmare of what is happening on wall street. All I can say is, "it is about time!"

The buck always stop with the tax payer. It is the people who have the power. Once they start getting hit in the wallet people start paying attention, begin asking questions, and demanding how in the hell did we get here? For too long people have been caught up in the own little worlds while they were being robbed blind. When this all plays out there should be a serious price to pay for politicians at the voting booth. Only time will tell how pissed off the voters really are.

Tonight, everyone should be tuned in to this debate. So turn up the heat in the kitchen and see who really can take the HEAT!

President Hillary Clinton - I Don't Think So!

I believe in Karma. What is happening to the Clinton campaign is just deserts. From my point of view her campaign is on life support. She is not winning but she is not losing in a big way either. This is perfect. Clinton gets to keep pleading for money and her Presidential asperations are dying by a thousands cuts. There is not going to be anything magical to come along and save her. Oh she will hang in there for a few more weeks and suck up a few more million in donations but that won't do it.

She is a flawed candidate. Husband Bill has done his service and committment to her and now it is poor Chelsey's turn. All this will fail.

The Clinton soap opera will be around for a while yet. But it is only a feeble attempt to give crediability to demonstrate her effort in fighting the good fight.

More to follow as the Clinton Circus Campaign Wagon is floundering with two flat tires.

Oh!Oh! Could it be Pres. McCain?

One thing is clear to me, whoever wins the 2008 US Presidential Election will have a very tough job. It will require a person who is of strong character, values, and most importantly can handle the stresses of the job. Should McCain eventually get his wish of becoming President I am concerned that his physical health will be tested. He is 72 years of age and has had more than his share of ailments.

If McCain gets the nod from the Republicans he will be in tough. However, if he selects a very special running mate, that maybe enough for voters to support the ticket.

Many think that it is in the bag for McCain. I don't think so. I have the feeling that there is still something or somebody that could come forward and completely change the dynamics of the 2008 Presidential race. The Democrats will be more than happy to challenge John McCain.

Talking points and making them answer it.

“Attack ads and insults, distractions and dishonesty, and millions of dollars from outside groups and undisclosed donors". This is a direct quote from Obama as he is just days away from the Iowa caucuses and facing the onslaught from the Clinton's.

The Clinton's use inuendo and operatives to plant stories for opponents to answer. This is an attempt to keep the opposition off balance and hopefully off their message. Their are many in the msm (mainstream media) who are beholding to the Clinton's and so some of these stories do get some traction if only for a day or so.

For political junkies this is going to be entertaining and fun too watch.

The Rank and File Deserve our Respect and Support!

There are thousands of men and women in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police who deserve our respect and support. At this very moment, all across this vast area called Canada, there are uniformed members on patrol protecting and serving the citizens of this country.

For years I was able to know and at times work with these members. I know them to be honest, hard working, dedicated individuals who were just doing their job and their duty.

What is appearing in the news these days regarding the R.C.M.P. did not happen over night. Only a full inquiry into this organization will determine what happened and why. It will be up to Prime Minister Harper to show Canadians that he is up to the task of dealing with this mess. If the Prime Minister does this right he will not only demonstrate leadership and strength he will also begin the process of healing the R.C.M.P. and looking after the thousands of dedicated members.

More now than at any other time in Canadian history do we need to have the temerity to correct what went wrong. For those who have already stepped up to the plate and have gone public with their knowledge of what happened and why my humble appreciation. I know what it took to come forward and speak publicly about an organization that you were proud of. I sincerely hope that the Prime Minister will again be able to restore that dignity and respect.

This week saw two members of the R.C.M.P. , Richmond Detachment, return my 82 year old uncle back home. He got lost and confused but was happy to see two uniformed police officers get him home safely. For those members up in Carcross and Whitehorse, Yukon who looked after my family, and you know who you are, you will always be in my prayers.

To those members who are presently serving you deserve better. I hope the current Canadian Parliament will be up to the task. My fingers are crossed.

We Do Have A Chance!

Each of us have busy lives. But there are a few Canadian Citizens who have taken the time and effort to keep many of us, "maybe the silent majority", informed. Those dedicated bloggers.

By their blogging of news and information it is shared in a timely way. We can read, discuss, and comment. What a novel way for law bidding citizens to share their concerns and observations of the world around them.

I try not to watch the cbc, ctv, or even cnn. As a viewer they lost my respect and viewership years ago.

Now through the internet I can get informed immediately. I can research the sources, corroborate and form my own opinions and judgments.

That is a special gift for citizens in a true democracy. Let's not abuse it!, Honor it!, and Guard this right!

To those that have taken the time to write and look after their blogging sites a big thank you from me. As I get my humble blog up and running I will be able to acknowledge those "blogs" that have meant so much to me over the past several years.

This concept of 'blogging' has given me the hope that, "we do have a chance". As law bidding citizens we do have the right and the obligation to question and demand answers from those in positions of trust and power.

So, ask the questions and demand complete and truthful answers. Canada will only be better because of it.
